Aww... It’s a cute baby drake. It loves frolicking among the flowers.

Young drakes are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own.

User Description

Knothole hides in holes in tree trunks where his master can't find him. He doesn't actually know he's a dragon's pet—he goes into hiding because he assumes his master is actually a predator who wants to eat him, and he's terrified that a single individual is so bent on finding him. Whenever he is found and cannot escape his master's clutches, he cries and flails at his perceived aggressor, who seems to be totally unaffected. Knothole's master carries him to a cave, lies down, and rubs his face against him while calling him a "sweet little honey nut", which Knothole presumes is meant to soften him up and tire him out so he won't be hard to chew. As soon as his master's grip loosens or he leaves his cave, Knothole flees again to hide.
