Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

'Argentium' was the word for silver in a now-dead language, and Argentium Hell lives up to his title. Other dragons question his devotion to hellfire females who return his gentalmanly kindness in less-than-polite ways. He just lets all their hate pass over him and through him, until only he remains. Even after the first month, the hellfires who harass Hell become more mellow, the spiteful feedback loop of passive-aggressiveness disrupted. Suffice to say there is much doubt about Hell's sanity.

When not flirting, Hell raises aurochs, letting adult dragons practice hunting some of the large, feral bulls.

Evil Salt Shaker and Evil Pepper Shaker have become rather concerned about Hell and try to keep him safe. Memento avoids Hell—probably, it gives him flashbacks about his Worst Mistake. There will be Time are suspected of manipulating time to erase the worst events from Hell's past after it was found out that they have a tarnished silver coffee spoon which smells of Hell and his blood.
