Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The Christmas Blues used to love shaking new things, usually wrapped gifts. He would jiggle presents together with his nest-brother, Feel-Good, on Christmas and birthdays. They also went on walks at the coast, often without their caretakers noticing they sneaked away. The two aegides moved to different locations after their 24th winter but would visit each other every year. One day, Blues was asked to shake someone with a kidney stone to help pass it, and he obliged. It wasn't the first time he was asked, but this time, he shook too enthusiastically, and the man passed before his kidney stone did. A cry of surprise was the last ever heard from Blues as he dropped the body and ran. People are still looking for him and are unable to fathom how a big, fluffy, blue and white dragon can just disappear for years.
