Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has two heads, and spends a lot of time scratching around in the dirt.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

The most notable thing about Burn and Turn is that she enjoys playing a card game possibly named after herself. The other kids aren't sure if she made the game up or if her mother named her after an existing thing. The game involves memorization of cards or groups of cards in order of desirability, but rules are not difficult to understand. Burn and Turn is the only one who has a "real, legit" deck, where the cards are the same size and thickness and backs are uniform, made by some skilled paper craft person. The other youngsters don't like playing with her because she's impatient and sneers at anyone who needs the rules explained more than once. She's also possessive of her deck, losing her heads at the notion that someone could misplace a card. It seems she has a rather unpleasant home life, too, and neither head wishes to discuss it. On especially turbulent days, during hangout time, Burn and Turn takes out her anger at any slight while still expecting others to play cards with her.
