Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Launce is a crotchety, irritable dragon. He hates intruders on his territory, but if they butter him up with gifts and servitude, he doesn't mind. Living at the top of a snow-capped peak, he rarely sleeps because he is too busy watching his realm. Unfortunately, he does not see much difference between intelligent creatures and plants, which means he might snack on a human if there is no better-tasting prey around. Cattle and sheep are his favorite foods, but most herders know not to go near his lands. Some try to bargain with him (such as giving him some cows and sheep in exchange for safety for the rest of the herd or flock), but this invariably never works. Some would question why he didn't breed his own livestock, but no one wants to get close enough to him to ask. A small village of farmers, who grow grains, is in his territory, and he demands a sum from them every year. As long as they keep up with the taxes, they can use the fertile soil.
