Khusa dragons thrive in dry, desolate, and rocky areas. Though they can fly, Khusa enjoy honing their climbing skills on foot. Shortly after they hatch, parents are already teaching their young how to pick their way across cliff faces, escarpments, and thin ridges. The young are well cared for by their parents, but other Khusa in the area also look out for the young—despite not forming close-knit groups, these dragons form loose alliances with their closest neighbors. If a threat is spotted, they will attack from above and drive it to the ground where Khusa have an advantage.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Feather is the leader and founder of a small group of dragons known as the Band of Hills. She created this group after living for years in her Clan's north-eastern volcanic hills; the treacherous environment proved too dangerous for most guards to traverse safely, leaving the region to be infested with criminals and bandits trying to avoid the high council's radar. In response, Feather and her few allies formed an allegiance to bring some governance to her uncontrolled land. They do not take orders from her Clan's high council and may even enforce their own laws that disagree with the Clan's laws; for this reason they themselves are technically outlaws, but the Council (begrudgingly) turns a blind eye to them in thanks for what they have done to make the volcanic hills safe. Feather is well aware of this fragile alliance; she is known as clever and confident, as well as empathetic. She sees the best in everyone, and is always happy to accept new recruits of any skill level.
