Radiant Angel Dragons are known for their intuition—they always seem to know when someone is feeling down, and will do what they can to provide cheer. These dragons are curious and will poke their noses into anything. They communicate with one another by making sounds similar to singing. It is said that the golden feathers shed from their whiskers can rekindle lost feelings of love.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

There is a story that is passed with great trepidation: before recorded history, Valkemare was populated by chaotic entities known as the Black Absolutes. When sentient creatures began to spread, the Absolutes recognized their era had come to an end and fled underground, to the deepest pits of Valkemare, to hibernate. They did not truly disappear: they allowed their consciousness to spread and influence the minds of generations of dragons, who formed terrible cults around the Absolutes and praised them as the world's real deities. One of the most fanatical followers, more zealous than the Jehum priests or the scholars of the Blood Tome, is Alga, the Singular Tormenter. He reveres pain and causes as much agony as possible in his devotion to the Absolutes. It's believed that he derives his great power from the torture he inflicts on his victims.

Alga insists he's nothing but an ordinary dentist and that a bit of pain is typical of a visit. These slanderous tales are bad for business.
