Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Linnea Nuria was born to the spoiled, cry-baby of a dragon named Rosa Nuria. When Linnea hatched, Rosa announced that raising an egg would ruin her beauty, and because her child was a girl, she couldn't risk being less beautiful. With that, Rosa left. Stunned, Ember took it upon herself to raise the hatchling. Despite not wanted to raise the dragon, Rosa was often nearby; making sure Ember was caring for her "little flower", as she called her hatchling. Because of this, Ember named the dragon Linnea, derived from the name of a pink flower. Linnea thought her mother's vain and pampered ways were silly, and preferred to stay with her best friend Fashan. Fashan was beautiful, as he was a silver dragon, so Rosa allowed Linnea to be near him. Linnea used her mother's love of beauty to her advantage when she wanted to get away from her babysitter Nelia, as Rosa thought Nelia was ugly. Linnea was devastated when Fashan left in search of a mate. She has vowed to wait always until he returns.
