Deep Sea Dragons, as their name suggests, spend most of their time in the darkest depths of the sea. They have a bioluminescent dorsal spine that serves to attract prey and communicate with their own kind. As with many deep sea animals, they generally eat whatever they can manage to bait. They rarely leave the ocean floor, surfacing only during breeding season. When they do choose to travel to the shallower depths, they avoid bright lights and will only come up far away from shore.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Son of Eipher and Hayeridae, Eiyeridae is a deep sea dragon who likes to play with other creatures of the deep sea. Any animal native to the oceans is a friend for Eiyeridae. Only recently has he met his father, Eipher, who, much to his astonishment, was a dragon of the desert. He has the playfulness of his father, and the ability to think deeply on a subject, which was a trait of his mother's. He is also somewhat shy when talking with other dragons, however, apart from his mother, father, and a friend or two. Thus he spends the majority of his time wandering with his few friends or with other inhabitants of the deep. He has a shorter temper than his parents, though this may pass on with age. Still young, he explores the farthest reaches of his small area of the ocean. And you never know, perhaps he will soon find a mate during his explorations.
