Deep Sea Dragons, as their name suggests, spend most of their time in the darkest depths of the sea. They have a bioluminescent dorsal spine that serves to attract prey and communicate with their own kind. As with many deep sea animals, they generally eat whatever they can manage to bait. They rarely leave the ocean floor, surfacing only during breeding season. When they do choose to travel to the shallower depths, they avoid bright lights and will only come up far away from shore.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Hayeridae was found back when she was an egg, abandoned amongst many eggs which were left at the mouth of a dragon cave. No human had picked it up, no dragon claimed it. Thus she was found. She quickly matured, hatching within a month, and growing fins after a year. The scales came slowly, but came nonetheless. She didn't like the freshwater, so in the ocean she lived.

Hayeridae is a calm dragon of the sea. She is shy, and silent, but gentle with words when she communicates. Usually, she will be found hunting alone, or sometimes telepathically communicating with others. She is patient, and somewhat curious, but not overly so.

Recently, upon exploring evermore upwards, she met Eipher, the sunstone dragon, living in the nearby desert. Both were confused at first, but Eipher, ever the first to speak, began a long friendly conversation. Afterwards she often came to talk again.

They now have a child, Eiyeridae, who comes with Hayeridae to talk with Eipher by the shore.
