Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has four eyes and a habit of popping up unexpectedly.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

McCray is named after the human family McCray and resides in a cottage on Miss Dolores Hill. She vaguely recalls riding her mother's head, getting dropped into a void and hearing a roar, and waking up on a roof in a place completely unlike her seaside home. Now she is a ward of some people who may not realize what kind of dragon she is, and she's fairly sure she'll never see her parents again. McCray does chores and plays silly games every day alongside the mini humans, some of whom treat her more like a magic puppy than a dragon. It's a step down from the life she had before, but she does enjoy the comforts the town and the McCrays provide, and she'll admit she loves the food the mini humans give her whenever she teleports for their viewing pleasure.
