Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Festivia is a Ribbon Dancer under the command of the youthful leader Glimmer. She is a happy-go-lucky dragon obsessed with her own shimmering silhouette. She isn't vain, just amazed because her breed is quite odd. The other Ribbon Dancer, Gossamer, scorns Feativia because she is rather useless, other than the fact that she can entertain the hatchlings and help in the decorating of the cave. The cheerful female ignores her friend's remarks, fortunately. It's hard to bring Festivia out of a good mood.

With Shimmer, Festivia plans the decorating of the cave. She knows how picky the Wrapping-Wing can be, and from experience has learned to do everything has careful as she can. Watching other dragons get pulled into a wild, shiny tantrum because of a wrongly placed bell makes her chuckle.

Festivia is also great with hatchlings. They are delighted by her shimmering hide and jingling 'ribbons', and she too enjoys what she does, because she loves it when she makes people happy.
