Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has two tails!

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Flash Color is a young hatchling that wanders the area that a group of male and female Swallowtails inhabit with two other hatchlings. He acts as the leader of the trio, planning where they're going to hunt and where they're going to sleep. He doesn't really know if he likes his two friends, but Flash Color would rather be with them than by himself.

The male hatchling has found in his wanderings that there are multiple groups of different species of dragons in the area. All of them don't even know that there are other groups around them, which makes Flash Color worried. With so many adult dragons in the small area, he doesn't understand why they don't even know that there are other dragons around.

He's made a dirt map once, to see if he could place every group together. Once he was finished, the young Swallowtail was shocked to find that the groups make one big circle. The middle of the circle is a mystery to him, but Flash Color wants to someday figure it all out.
