Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Otherwise known as Nightshade, she is like the teen-queen gal. Her scales usually shine in their inky blackness, and has great form. When hatched, (raised by Kira alongside Emeraldthunder and Leafstorm) she was close to her human, usually riding on her head, or sleeping next to some other eggs Kira had. She is sweet, cunning, and sly. Shortly after maturing, she quickly fell for a young gray storm dragon called Raiku Storm (also raised by Kira) whom has won her fairly after defeating a red dragon called Blazingheart (one of the dragons he grew up with). Nightshade (after becoming a life-mate to Raiku) laid two eggs, one which she gave to her "mother". She currently has 2 sons.
