Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Norren is the first son of Nightshade's Promise and Raiku Storm. He wants to be like his father, he wants to be impressive and strong. He was a little put out that he was a black dragon, but he didn't mind, because he liked to be a fighter. And he likes magic. He likes to make small illusions and trick a white dragon hatchling called Nigelgen, who was born the same time he was. Norren is still just a teenage dragon, one who still fools around and has big dreams to be the greatest dragon warrior ever. He is slightly distracted though, like any normal teenager, he currently fancies a white dragon called Kora May. He still hasn't bitten up the courage to talk to her yet. He is quite innocent and just wants to fit in, or do something spectacular, win his dream girl, and be a hero.
