Red-Tailed Wyrms are a small but clever breed of dragon. Their innate ability to use air mana allows them to fly, and they are aerial predators with extremely sharp eyesight. They tend to ride on warm air currents, and then swoop out of the sky when they spot prey. Once the wyrm catches its prey, it will constrict its meal before swallowing it whole. They can often be found in human settlements, draped over rooftops or signs to rest between meals.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.

User Description

Reengage is a spell-keeper at Lumio Polytechnic, a job he took because of his shortcomings: his physical fitness is below par, he's allergic to birds, and a tail defect prevents him from flying straight without magical aid. He wanted to prove to his mother that he was capable of something, so he kept all kinds of mana, studied spellcasting, and got a job. Reengage can only hunt the sickest or slowest of creatures, and since he doesn't have the strength to constrict his prey, he kills them instantly and painlessly with a highly useful spell he invented all by himself. He knows it's painless because he accidentally killed a visitor to Lumio with it. While editing the nearly-finished spell outside by the Life Department, there was a clang at the gate, and Reengage was startled and let the energy puff shoot away and hit the delivery dragon. Fortunately, the fella was revived by a colleague in the Life Department, and Reengage followed him to interview him on what getting hit felt like.
