Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

One bitter cold winter, two brothers were born of two powerful bloodlines. And from the moment they were, strife and battles shattered their lives, pitting them against one another in an icy sibling rivalry, which ended poorly for both.

Bane, then known as Alabi, was the younger of Meleonie and Versace's brood. Growing up, him and his brother could scarcely be closer. But over time, he realized something was broken in Zero. Gradually, Alabi gravitated toward the two hatchlings Angel and Tesky, not realizing that by doing so he was condemning them. Zeros jealousy of the two near ended their lives.

He convinced Izdati, leader of Creorluna, that Angel was not strong enough for training and the order was given to have her killed. But last minute, Alabi found out and fled, taking his two best friends with him.

Years later Zero finally caught up with them and because of this, Alabi was forced to give his life. Leon found him, with a little help, just before he died and turned him.
