Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The Queen of the Equinox Coven, Leeta has had many names over the decades. Vomica Banshee, Nero Divieti, Reina de la Negro Sepultura, Surgele Neerlandais, and more.

In life she was Surgele Neerlandais, the Frozen Dutchus, beloved by her clan Chanson who made En or Montagne their home. She was their brightest military leader. Those of Chanson only cared for their own vale's well being and never stepped off their mountain to aid their counterparts.

Karma is a fickle thing. Creorluna descended on Chanson and it was like Hell exploded. They had Chanson by the throat in days, the only safe haven being the caves which Leeta was defending. But at last they too fell.

A struggling Leeta was brought before their cruel leader Izdati. She demanded death, but Izdati had other plans. He had her turned into a vampire. She was forced to serve him, inspiring hate for the vampire kind among the clans.

Izdati never anticipated she would have enough willpower to defy him, escaping and helping to create Equinox.
