Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It sleeps a lot, but when it’s awake, it’s quite a handful.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

The wandering sorceress Kunikunatu's publication, "A Study of Dragon Species", has gained quite a bit of traction among dragonkeepers. However, it seems the author herself does not wish to be found. Any attempts to track her, even through magical means, have only led to this small Pillow hatchling instead. Holding any sort of conversation with Sweetie Diesel has proven to be an exercise in futility. No matter what one might ask, he will inevitably give a vague answer before changing the subject to something trivial, such as the amount of fish in the ocean or the moral ramifications of squishing an ant with one's shoe. He has implied that he will disclose Kuni's true location to anyone who can solve one of his riddles. However, there is always either no correlation between the question posed and the answer he gives, or no answer at all. Sweetie Diesel appears to have no memory of the conversation once it has ended. He does enjoy tuna fish and chin-scritches, though.
