Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Arovescence is an excessively perfect, can-do-no-wrong sort of creature, almost to the point where it doesn't seem like he can be real. For this reason, some end up hating him simply because they can find no good reason to. He is welcomed home by his Clan every winter, along with the flock of Holiday Dragons that he travels with, and he has a habit of getting a long with almost everyone. Once he has made his seasonal greetings to the crowd, he likes to travel solo to the more distant regions of his Clan to visit and wish good holidays to the more solitary dragons. He often isn't around on the actual Holidays themselves, as he prefers to spend them with lonelier dragons who have no one else to celebrate with.
