It’s an undead baby dragon, produced by a failed magical spell. It probably would be cute if it weren’t partially decayed.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Majova was the result of a crisis in the cave, during a time when the human caretaker went berserk, wildly murdering defenseless dragons. Majova was the only 'survivor' of that day, cursed to spend an eternity undead. She was once a red dragon, but has no memory of this. When Majova asks other dragons questions about her identity, they recoil in fear, for her voice sounds like a wild moan. They believe her a beast, so she spends most of her days in a grave. Majova has vowed to stop the tragedy of her coming into being from happening again. Every Halloween, the day the human went berserk those years ago, she rises from the earth and follows the human, quick to strike should it happen again.
