Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Valjib is a hero to every dragon in the cave. One terrible month, a large army of invaders approached the cave. This was before a guardian dragon was even appointed, so Valjib's keen eye gave an early warning. The warriors of the cave fought the intruders off using the element of surprise. It was Valjib who came up with the plot, and he was offered the position of cave leader when it was over. Valjib humbly refused, as he had his own hatchlings to look after.
