Thunder Dragons are the masters of electricity. Their wings gather energy as they soar through the clouds, and when they clap their wings together they can create devastating arcs of lightning. They can stay airborne nearly indefinitely, landing only to sleep and breed; they catch their prey from the air and take moisture from the clouds. A thunder dragon’s roar is considered to be an omen of misfortune.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Taranis, the Thunder Dragon spends her time flying high above the cave of the Storm Crow Clan. She likes to wheel and soar in the sky above, beating her wings to make arcs of lightening that crash and crackle about the cave. Sometimes the other dragons like these displays, sometimes they think that it is just Taranis 'Showing off', and sometimes they are afraid that she will set the forest on fire. This, thankfully, has never yet happened, but the cave makes sure that when ever Taranis decides to show off they have a Water Dragon at the ready to extinguish any fires that might arise. Whilst flying Taranis likes to sing folk songs, but out of respect for her clan mates she will only do so softly for fear of distressing them with her roar. Her favourite food is sparrows and she snatches these sweet morsels from the air, crunching them in her teeth as she hums the melody to 'The Lincolnshire Poacher'.
