Frilled Dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the “best” frills being more likely to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. She really disliked Caesarion. He was snooty, foul-tempered, lazy, misogynistic, and self-centered. She worked hard all her life, training to become the Clan's best warrior so that she could hopefully gain the Queen's favor and request her own mate.

Luckily for her, she was given to the Duke Frilled Lettuce, who was reckoned a better match. At first she didn't agree, for he was scholarly and her exact opposite in every way. She was relieved that he wasn't Caesarion, so she gave him a chance. To her surprise, it proved to be a love-match. Amazon grew very protective of her beloved mate, who was kind-hearted and loving. They were blessed with child before the clan was cursed, and Amazon believes that she is the luckiest lady in the clan.
