This breed of dragon was thought to exist only in legend. Although their name varies between cultures, they are often referred to as “Guardians of Nature.” They are able to channel the forces of fire, ice and lightning, which allows them to wield tremendous power. Seen very rarely, it is thought that they only become active when something is threatening the territory they have chosen to guard. In order to protect their chosen home, these dragons are incredibly adaptable; they have been seen everywhere from remote mountain ranges, to ancient forests, to the darkest depths of the ocean.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Azaiah, being a Guardian of Nature, possesses power beyond a mortal's wildest dreams. He can wrench trees from the earth and summon hurricanes with a flick of his wrist. Strength like his is the stuff of legend.

So of COURSE he abuses the hell out of it.

Really, he's not sure what the Summoners were expecting. If they actually thought he'd resign himself to a life of lazing around and guarding some plot of land, well, they had another thing coming. Nobody in their right mind would spend their whole life dormant if they had Azaiah's power. So instead of reaching maturity and claiming his own territory like any other GoN, he decided to do the logical thing: enslave humanity.

The ensuing war caused thousands of deaths before its end. It took the very council that had summoned him, three of his Avatars, and an older GoN named Winterguard to stop him. After his defeat, Azaiah was sealed in a hidden shrine, the location of which is known only to those that put him there.
