Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Veritasium (Ve for short) is a curious little non-striped striped dragon, always researching and asking questions to educate and be educated about science. His name represents "an element of truth", as one of his goals is to debunk misconceptions. He talks to dragons and humans, drops metal springs, drinks from long tubes, and does many other things in the name of education.
