Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dark Ace is one of the more brutal and vicious black dragons. He has little time for those who make mistakes or get in his way and is not above using force to get what he wants. Should a battle ever start to turn against him, he may well resort to cheating to ensure his victory, as personal failure is something he can not abide.

He greatly desires to obtain leadership of the family but knows he currently lacks the strength to challenge the current leader, Whyte. Since Whyte has the support and loyalty of most of the family, including the vampire dragon Mamon, Dark Ace knows he must bide his time.
