Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Mabeline-Moonlight Noah Beekman is a messenger and occasional poppy-runner, two jobs she carefully separates. She was raised to adulthood by a human family, though she easily adapted to living and interacting with dragons again. She is not picky about her long, unusual name, so people are allowed to call her what they like—Moony, Mabel Beekman, Stripey, Noah, whatever. Her friends call her Mae and leave the rest off, most humans call her Noah or Beekman, and many of her clients know her by something entirely different for business reasons. She does seem to prefer "Mae", though. If she likes someone immediately, she will ask them to call her that along with the initial "B.", to honor her humans in a way. Her introduction to friendly people usually ends with, "...so call me Mae B."
