Garland Dragons are a welcome sight in the skies during the holiday season. Their slightly luminous scales shine softly at night or catch the day’s sunbeams as they turn loops and spirals in the sky. They will often drape themselves around tall pine trees or along rooflines, adding a festive note to the winter scenery. Occasionally they drop red mana berries from their garland-like mane, which offer a comforting warmth to those that find them.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Valhala is a very motherly and graceful figure who is always welcomed home by her Clan every winter; not only is she tolerated by grumpy, anti-social outcasts, but even violent marauders find something calming about her. She believes there's good in everyone and will give care to those that others have rejected. Dragons find her incredibly patient, and she often volunteers to help with particularly uncooperative individuals (and she is almost always successful). Nonetheless, she knows there are those whose anger she can never cure, and she's saddened by all the unsolvable problems in the world.
