Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ara'ra lived in the times of great peril, where the world was split into two; humans and dragons.

After centuries of being enslaved, the dragons of Akermind revolted. Ara'ra was the only one of her kind to have survived the Great War of Akermind, with many losses such as her mate.

The suffering during the war was great; many undeads were released, and even the most powerful dragons could not stop them, and were slain by the claws of undeads.

After centuries of fighting, a Guardian of Nature appeared to put a stop to the fighting, but even the Guardian was no match for the undead army. It took smart young Ara'ra to stop the war. All she did was call upon a master of time; together, they forced time back (only in Akermind, of course) to before the war and to times of peace.

To this day, only she and the time master know of the war, and keep the secret hidden from the prying eyes of the world, along with herself.

Many only consider her a legend.
