Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. As Saral wandered through a forest of evergreens, she met a lost human, who was suddenly less hungry and cold and more panicked. He only managed to stick a dagger in her tail before she picked him up in her mouth, moseyed to a clearing, and took to the sky, whilst ignoring his unintelligible babbling. He soon found himself neatly deposited onto a path leading to his settlement. The dragon sat contently, swishing her dagger-adorned tail, apparently not minding the pain. The human said he was very sorry about that.
