Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Isler has always run at a higher temperature than other dragons. She lives in the tropics because if she was to live in even the slightest bit cooler of climates, she would freeze. Isler is always very warm to the touch, as if she has a fever. She lives in a tunnel dug in the warm sand at the beaches, for it keeps heat in for a longer time than a cave or plain soil. Isler doesn't mind having to go through the trouble of keeping herself unnaturally warm all the time, but she does mind that she is restricted to either a tropical climate or a volcano. She loves to travel, but is very limited as to where she can go. One of her biggest plans in life is to make friends with a red dragon, so she can have them as a travel companion and let her survive the journey to the hot springs in the icy climate of the north.
