Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

"Aurum Astrum Haiela" as she is formally known is a peculiar young dragoness of the wild Ferox Clan. Strange and alien, she has taken onto a love for the environment around her home of Torva Servo. Classic to her breed, she can be so silent she is unseen.

She hates being confined in a cave and prefers diving off Servo's walls like a wild animal.

Reclusive by nature, many perplexed when Haiela decided to go with Glac to the clan of his birth and Nebbias.

But since the day Glac wandered into Servo, she would follow him around as an unseen angel. Very much protective over him; for when she saw Tyreeve attack him once, firm on dislike of the youngling, she proved Christmas Dragons could be as deadly as all others.

It's hard to know just what Haiela is thinking. Perhaps she is not a dragon but a guardian, or maybe she just really likes Glac. Either way, this gorgeous guardian angel is determined to keep Glac safe from everyone, friend or foe...
