Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It looks very sick, as though it wasn’t very well looked after...

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Sad Green Child's name is Citrus, but she finds "Sad Green Child" an appropriate name as well. She's often sad, and also irritable, sluggish, and uninspired. Sometimes, she's just inexplicably unhappy, and she's also puzzled by how other kiddies could be so cheery and energetic. Her caretakers are stern and make a big deal of her keeping her mind and body exercised, but they're also weirdly nice. She's seen other young dragons get punished by their parents for less. Citrus's parents tell her that she didn't used to be small and green, that she was in better shape before, but whatever happened to her was not her fault. Recently, a new dragon has been visiting her home, Doctor Flower-Bird-Lady or whatever. She's peppy and the color of earwax, she asks a lot of questions, and she doesn't like when Citrus calls herself Sad Green Child. Citrus should find Doctor Whatever really annoying, but for some reason, she can't bring herself to be annoyed.
