Antarean Dragons are peaceful creatures shrouded in mystery. They are primarily found in the desert where they get most of their energy from sunbathing. Their most notable traits are their highly reflective manes and the mysterious light emitted by their scales which fades from bright, nearly blinding yellow-white into dim red as the dragons get older. Legend claims that they are otherworldly beings that came to this world when a meteor struck.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Taiyangshou is the chatty and inquisitive gofer of Twinkle Township. He used to be a guard working for the Legion of Suns, but he left for unknown reasons. Occasionally, he's given a winding, complicated delivery task just to get him out of other dragons' hair, and he either is happy to occupy himself this way or doesn't realize someone's trying to get rid of him for a while. When he sneezes, his whole body emanates shimmering orange dust. With an especially powerful sneeze, the dust sprays. Many people were very annoyed by Taiyangshou's dusty sneezes, but some magicians became very interested in studying and collecting the stuff once they learned of its magical effects. He promises he'll learn to stifle or control his sneezes soon.
