Blancblack dragons are a two-headed breed known for their hardiness and easygoing nature. They are omnivorous, with the cream head preferring to eat plants and the violet head preferring to eat meat, and can adjust readily to harsh climates. These dragons are sociable—both with other two-headed breeds and with single-headed dragons—and can often be found as adopted members of social dragon colonies. They are often considered symbols of balance and fairness, and likenesses of Blancblacks have been found in ancient ruins associated with law and justice. Females Blancblacks have longer tails than males, which they use as whips when defending a nest from predators.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Two-headed dragons are unique enough to deserve a separate classification from ordinary dragons. They have two necks, two brains, two mouths, but one stomach and one main body. The two heads usually work together, but there are times when they will fight each other, snapping back and forth. Their unique anatomy prevents them from breeding with single-headed dragons.

Togarashi likes to make decorative candles, but sometimes has a hard time making up her minds on what ingredients to add for appearance and scent. In addition to the usual pleasant floral and fruity combinations, she's crafted all sorts of odd creations, including one particularly memorable candle studded with pinecone fragments that smelled like bacon cooking over a campfire. Since Togarashi will often go scavenging for materials, her living cavern is filled with all sorts of random items she uses for her candles, from dried flowers to seashells to glittery mana crystal confetti. Whenever she notices her stockpiles growing too large, she will invite some of the hatchlings of her friends and family to make candles with her. Oftentimes these little arts and crafts playdates result in even stranger candles than Togarashi has ever made. The wide variety of combinations is endlessly amusing, especially to the hatchlings who insist on bringing their creations home.
