Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ceiniog fell off a traveler's pack and rolled into the cave, and the dragons couldn't bear to abandon her, so adopted her in. She grew up a popular hatchling, always sitting in her corner gossiping about someone or something, much to the amusement of everybody else, but embarrassment to the target. This came back to bite her during flying lessons, as Ceiniog lacks the wing muscles to swoop around the skies like the other dragons, and her gossip grew more spiteful towards the more agile fliers because of this. Ironically, Ceiniog partnered Starstruck, a nebula dragon with his eyes always on the skyline, and he showed her to appreciate her talents, instead of being jealous of others. Ceiniog is a very sarcastic catty dragon, with always a quick remark on her tongue, although she has a shallow personality and is unable to consider other peoples feelings.
