Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

"Verre Pluie" is french for "glass rain". This is what Verre calls diamonds, which he collects instead of gold, like other dragons. He roams the areas between the clan's mountains and the clan's cave. The location of the cave where he stores his diamonds is completely unknown except to him and the Mistress. His wings and ears are lined, on the edges, with a small, diamond-like crystal line.

He enjoys interacting with ALL the members of the clan, even Kani-Dia, a purple dragon who lives far off into the woods, by herself. He can be focused like Balac, or playful and reckless like Miyorko, he seems to be able to fit with all personalities. He came to the Mistress' clan from another clan, and still keeps in touch with them, leaving small piles of diamonds as gifts for the dragons there.

Pluie's wife, Piscine, is his greatest treasure, and is always quick to attack any dragon that threatens or attacks her. He treats her like a goddess and is deeply appreciative of her love and loyalty.
