Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

He has a great skill of hunting and often a knack for finding unusual things. It was on one of his many hunts that took him far from the Clan's territory he spotted her. She was unconscious in a patch of sunlight. He took her for dead and intended to pass her when a faint 'help' cried in his mind. Turning back, he saw she was just barely alive. She was weak and her pale body was smoking in the sunlight. He was somehow drawn to her and felt he had to help her. Outstretching his massive wings, he shaded her from the sun. Again he heard the soft voice in his mind thanking him. She said her name was Taluana and had been searching for dragons to join her group of vampires known as the Legion. She asked her name; he told her that Purpletail had not named him yet. Taluana then named him Aiden as he had aided her in a time of need. The two dragons have been friends since and Aiden, upon the pride of his hunting skills, decided to help Taluana find eggs and other dragons to join the Legion.
