Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

He floated and danced among the snowflakes whenever winter approached. He pranced, he flew, hidden like a ghost would. His scales shone brightly in the winter sun, a flash of gold and silver that gleamed in compliment with his red and green scales. The Winter Magi often liked to do such 'rituals' of his during the time of winter and festivity, only to be disheartened as he watch the snow melt away into spring as he knew his time was up during his days of dancing and prancing among the white snow. Whenever such days came upon him, he took his leave, hoping for another winter soon to be all the more beautiful that the last.
