Lunar Heralds are deeply attuned to the two moons of Valkemare, Aurax and Cirion. Strictly nocturnal, they draw energy from moonlight and will only hunt when the moons have waned. When breeding, the amount of moonlight the parents receive from each moon will determine the color of the egg produced. When a Lunar Herald is struck by direct moonlight, an illusion of multiple wings may appear. Witnessing a Lunar Herald’s illusory wings is commonly believed to be a sign of good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Xiangliu spends his free time gazing at the moons and caring for his pet piece-of-work. Since he's never seen anything like it, he doesn't know if someone's named this animal, so "piece-of-work" is a name he made up. It has a serpentine body and nine heads stacked like grapes. It has magical abilities, too, so until Xiangliu collected all the mana he could find and started controlling where the piece-of-work could go, it would happily flood an area and then poison the water. Down the mountain, for a while, humans discussed hunting and killing the creature, though they halted those plans when news of Xiangliu finding it and interfering with its activities spread. It ought to be thankful its life was saved. Maybe it is. Despite being incapable of speech, the piece-of-work is a pretty emotive creature and able to learn commands quickly, and it likes seeing Xiangliu happy. Still, it's a wingful, since it must stay in the territory, and when it's hungry, it eats loads of food at once.
