Golden Wyverns are known for their beautiful metallic scales and rumored magical abilities. Living high in the mountains, these dragons do not believe in killing for sport or pleasure. They will hunt only when hungry and defend themselves when provoked, but will avoid killing to the best of their abilities. Golden Wyverns often mingle with other dragons of similar color and take pride in their shimmering hide.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Starwish is somewhat of a black sheep in the pack. There is a gentleness in his heart that seems out of place considering the bravery and ferocity of his parents. Starwish despises all kinds of death and refuses to join the hunt and eat the meat. All life is sacred to his eyes, and he believes it is an atrocity to consume other living beings when he can survive on fruit and roots.

It is not rare for Starwish to travel to the forest to meditate about his own magic and study the life of other creatures, the patterns of the weather, the cycles of the plants and the flow of water running downstream. It is knowledge he craves, but the more he knows, the more he doubts. When the movements of the planet became clear to him, he began pondering about the stars, when stars were no longer a mystery, he wondered about the universe, and when it became clear that was too much, even for him, he deepened in his study about the forces of nature, as Starwish is sure everything is united by magic.
