Fire Gem Dragons are a colorful, flamboyant breed often found in hot climates, particularly around active volcanoes. Their broad tails store the flames they breathe, which are colored by the heavy amount of minerals in the water they drink. These dragons come in a variety of colors, and will collect shiny trinkets and stones that match their own coloration. Despite their hoarding tendencies, though, Fire Gem dragons are social and will often congregate in groups and show off their collections while fawning over the stones their friends and rivals have gathered, occasionally arranging trades.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Parasocial likes the look of faces. Some faces are very elastic and prone to movement, and others are stiff and almost unchanging. Faces aren't handsome or ugly or any descriptors in-between to him, just interesting. He doesn't really understand that usually the reason they change shape is due to changing emotions. Even his parents are puzzled how he has to be explicitly informed what any particular item of body language means. Other dragons usually think Parasocial is a harmless little thing who just needs some hobbies, while the few humans traveling through the territory blanch in terror when he stares intently at them and pulls their cheeks.
