Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nox. Say the word, and it is night. For the black winged fury will blot out the sky like ink on crisp paper, the green eye staring out from his skull replacing the Northern Star. Nox. The trembling candle light will flicker out as the harsh whip of his tail steals soul and flame alike. Nox. Eyes might as well be closed, for none can see in the darkness of shadow. Nox. The light after his darkness  is blinding to the mortal eye, bringing an eternal life time of his darkness. Nox. The glow in a young child's eye is stolen by the dragon like curtains cover the stars. Nox. Nightmare's fuel with a darkened flame. Nox. The moment of panic in the darkness of the eclipse, when the sun is lost beyond despair. Nox. The shepard's wait in the morning dimness, praying and hoping that the sun will rise another day. Nox. And the lights go out.
