Avatars of Change are unpredictable, exuberant dragons whose unique connection to magic has saturated their entire bodies. It is said that possessing one of their iridescent scales can change one’s fate, and many have sought the favor of these dragons hoping to receive a scale as a gift.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

"Inter Horas" is less of a name and more of a title. It means "the hours between", and this title is appropriate for the offspring of The Father and The Sand in the Hourglass. He flits about between the hours, working his will to change the fates of those he meets, for good or for ill, for no true purpose other than the satisfaction of his base nature, to the ire and chagrin of his mother.

However, he has learned recently of the concept of free will, and internally he now experiences a conflict between his need to affect change on the world and those within it, and his desire to respect the freedom of those who can think and feel to make their own decisions and change their fate themselves.

It is difficult work, balancing the scales between who you were born as and who you wish to be.
