Originating from a single species that thrived in ancient times, Xenowyrms have become an incredibly diverse breed whose appearances vary depending on their habitats. Each Xenowyrm subspecies is heavily reliant on the power of different types of mana, making them powerful magic users. Chronos are often considered to be the most elusive of all Xenowyrm subspecies: they live in the darkest and densest forests, far from civilization. They are masters of time magic, allowing them to manipulate the flow of time at will. It is said that Chrono lairs are protected by a field of magic that makes the minutes tick by at a slow pace for any unwanted visitors.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A wyrm with the power to manipulate the sands of time in short bursts, which she uses to prevent her own demise by flickering time whenever she would otherwise meet her end. This makes it almost impossible to kill her, although a plot involving a dagger made of cassare dragon bone almost did the trick at one point, something which was only undone with the help of her comrade Kronos, who used his own mastery of time magic to cut the event from the fabric of time. She has amassed a small cult following, made of several humans and a cabal of aeon wyverns who revere her ability to flicker time, something that is beyond their power.

She has engaged in the art of prophecy only three times, and each one she has placed a seal upon, written in her own blood on a roll of vellum, interred with its human scribe. Rumor states that each one holds the knowledge of a world-ending calamity, which will come to pass once it is unsealed.
