Olive Dragons are a small, forest-dwelling breed, rarely growing much larger than the average sheep. When alarmed, they can erect a long row of venomous spines on their back, serving to warn any potential predators that Olives are not a good choice for a meal. While not strong enough to kill anything larger than a small deer, their venom causes an extremely painful reaction and necrosis at the bite site, sometimes causing the flesh to rot and limbs to fall off.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
This dragon is fiercely protective of truffles that grow near his lair. He is boastful about it, too. In his favorite story, he tells how a great boar, larger than himself, came sniffing after the mushrooms. As he hissed to warn it off, a pair of two-leggers taller than either the dragon or the boar started waving sticks at him.
Kiltb'gye darted forward with back spines erect and leapt up to bite the waving arm of the smaller one. The taller one whacked the small dragon with a stick, catching himself on the spines. Kiltb'gye roared and reared up, knocking the big guy into a tree and skewering him with more spines. Upset at having this big thing on his back, Kiltb'gye then ran through bushes with it clinging to him, until he lost his footing on a hill and rolled down it.
The two-legger dislodged from his spines at the end of the roll and lay unmoving. Kiltb'gye feasted on him for the next week. Sometimes he sees the other two-legger, now with only one arm left; they avoid each other.
