Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Caspar is tremendously strong, yet simple-minded, which can be a dangerous combination when posed with a threat that he simply cannot understand. Relying only on instructions from his friends to help him, when faced with a situation of turmoil Caspar will simply curl up, taking with him anything that he was biting on to at the time. A dragon of the senses, Caspar adores the feel of soft items, finding much enjoyment on stroking them. He particularly has an obsession with creatures smaller then himself, carrying them off with him so he can stroke them constantly. Unfortunately, this is where Caspar's strength becomes his curse, as he can frequently put too much pressure in stroking these creatures, which can lead to injury or even death of these. Just like the small child of his mind, Caspar cannot comprehend death, making him sad that the creatures won't play anymore, and continues to damage these creatures unless stopped by his friends.
