Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dragontown's famous Yuletide pantomime plays are a fusion of two similar draconic and human traditions, with roles played by a mixture of humans and dragons. The plots are paper-thin, the acting over-the-top, and the characters mere caricatures, but nobody goes to these plays for subtlety or nuance. They go to cheer the heroes, boo the villains, and sing along with the actors, as audience participation is a huge part of the appeal.

Jygal plays Pantobeast, a ridiculous quadruped of whatever species that year's plot demands. The role is traditionally played by two people in a costume, but since there's only one of Jygal, she must work hard to provide the same effect. After climbing into an inexpertly-constructed and poorly-painted cloth costume, she lurches around the stage as though her legs were controlled by warring duotone dragons, all the while making noises like a drunk howler drake. She's been everything from cows to camels, but her favorite Pantobeast is the dragon.
