Floret Wyverns are an elegant breed, named for the flowerlike mane and tail each individual possesses. They project small fields of magic around themselves that calm those in the field’s proximity, for a short while replacing anxiety and anger with peace-of-mind. Florets are strikingly wise; they often share their knowledge of the world with whomever is willing to listen and learn. They are very faithful to those close to them, and are especially devoted to their partners and young. It is said that the lasting friendship of a Floret is one of the highest testaments to one’s true character.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ruthanne is a bartender at the Bauen Multipurpose Building, on the ground floor. Her family back at home are a little unhappy that she picked a profession with a low reputation, but as long as she's happy, they don't try to dissuade her from what she wants to do. She's a welcome sight in Bauen because she also acts a bit like a feathered first aid kit, and she knows how to peacefully handle loud disputes and drunk people. The building doesn't actually have a bar, but there's an area in the southwest that evokes a bar and has features her boss believes bars have. Ruthanne proudly touts that they have beer on tap. The tap produces water for the basin below, but Ruthanne makes sure that there's always a beer bottle perched on top.
